I often find myself creating list, ticking things off list, creating new lists and the circle continues. Take today for instance I started my day with 3 things that needed to be taken care of and I got them done in pretty good time.
And it seemed as soon as I had ticked off my last item my next thought was already adding items that I could also get done today.
However I caught myself and asked myself why do you do that? Constantly going and doing and never stopping to pause, why not take a break before starting again. Why not take a beat to appreciate what you have already done.
There will always be stuff to get done, checklists to complete but it is up to us when we choose to stop, to breathe, to pause.
“There is virtue in work and there is virtue in rest. Use both and overlook neither.” ~Alan Cohen
I don’t know, I actually find peace in being constantly on the move and checking things off my list. Maybe you’re the same way. Maybe we’re all different, and some of us breathe better knowing we’ve put our all into our day. Wishing you all the best no matter what you do!

You make good points and it is very true we have to do what works for us individually and find our own balance and I find that daily I have to recalibrate that some days I’m go from dusk to dawn, others I have to create a list get it done and then take some down time and other days I lose hours laying in bed reading. And I am learning to find the value in all the days. I appreciate the support and perspective.
